Use | Use biochemical research. Dextran gel is a bead-like cross-linked dextran that contains a large amount of hydroxyl groups and is easy to swell in water and electrolyte solutions. G-type dextran gels have various degrees of crosslinking. Therefore, their swelling and fractional separation ranges are also different. Sepandex G-10 and G-25 sugar gels are used in aqueous solutions. If an organic solvent is used as the mobile phase, Sepandex G needs to be converted into hydroxypropyl dextran gels that can swell in organic solvents through hydroxypropylation.
